LiposuctionThe fat layers which are directly beneath the skin can be removed with liposuction. The best result one can achieve is if the skin is not to loose. This is because the skin needs to shrink and suit the new contours. Liposuction can be performed on almost any one who is healthy. Liposuction is however not a dieting method. In men the fat usually accumulates around the lower abdominal (bilringar). On women the fat is around areas like hips, bum, thighs and knees. Long, slim needles are inserted in the skin which sucks the fat out. Convalescence / After care After the surgery and wake up You can feel a bit sour. This is individual. Pain relief medication is given. After a couple of hours it is possible to go home. If You would like to sleep over there are possibilities to do this at the clinic. You can contact us at any time during Your recuperating time. Stitches are removed after a week and You get to meet Your surgeon who evaluates that all has gone well accordingly. A slight swelling and bruising may occur which disappear eventually. After 3 to 6 months the heeling is complete and one can see how well the results are. It is important to follow the restrictions after the surgery. Girdle or bandages should be warren some week up to a couple of months. Usually You can shower the very next day. Heavy activities like weight lifting or other gymnastics should not be done until aprox. 2 weeks. You should folllow the specific instructions given by Your surgeon. |
